Canada

Canada, formerly a British colony, initiated its coin production in 1858, with several provinces minting their own coins. Over a decade later, in 1870, the country introduced its first national coinage. Following the model of the U.S. monetary system, Canadian coins share similar denominations. The cent was discontinued in 2012. The extensive variety and numerous commemorative editions across all denominations make collecting complete sets a challenging endeavor.
