Lincoln (1909-Date)

Prior to the introduction of the Lincoln Cent, no regular circulation issue United States coin had featured an actual person. It is the longest running coin design in United States history and the only significant changes have been the reverse of the coin, which can be found in Wheat Ear, Memorial, Bicentennial and Shield designs.
